Liberals Are Like Mistreated Puppies

Have you seen that video of the dogs that were kept in cages their entire life and walked on grass for the first time? It is moving. I admit it, I'm not made of steel people, The Green Lantern is the man of steel. No, it was Batman. Yes, Batman is the man of steel.
Those poor animals felt safe in their cage because it was the only life they knew. Once the cage was opened, it took a few minutes for the puppies to even try to step outside onto the grass for the first time.
I bawled.
This is the best analogy for when liberals turn into conservatives. It's true. Conservatives are like the Puppies' Liberators. The puppies' new friends handled their transition to freedom with caring. They did not force, they simply opened the doors and waited. Conservatism is to liberals, what freedom is to those puppies. They always felt safe inside their cells. That is the only life they have ever known.
Like the puppies, Liberals have been mistreated. They trusted the wrong people, at the wrong time, and were let down. It is important that conservatives treat the transition from liberalism to conservatism with the same respect. Liberals need to make the decision on their own. It is important that we handle disagreements like the puppies’ new friends. Once they decide to step on the cool grass, they are never the same.
